Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum
The Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum is open to anyone who has an interest in the coast and waterway of Pembrokeshire. At present it consists of approximately 1000 individuals and organisations and is continually growing. It comes together for an Annual General Meeting, but also through a series of other meetings/workshops and events throughout the year, providing lots of opportunities through a variety of means to be involved in Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum work. Membership is free.
Benefits of membership
As a member of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum (PCF) a range of services are delivered at no cost to the member. Through attendance at Forum events, individuals as well as organisations have greater opportunities for directing issues of concern to the relevant individual or organisation as well as understanding the justification for decision making. Additionally, through networking they may also find opportunities for integration and establishing effective partnerships that can lead to a reduction in duplication of effort, making best use of finite resources.
Information Exchange
Regular information is provided for members through quarterly newsletters, PCF website, leaflet, fact sheet and targeted information can be sent out via the electronic topic group membership.
Raising awareness
The Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum is continually seeking ways to raise the awareness of ICZM identifying projects and encouraging greater partnership working. PCF have a seat on the Wales Coastal Maritime Partnership and the English Coastal Forum enabling the Forum to raise local issues nationally and to provide a local perspective on the impacts of national policy and activities.
Networking/consensus building
The Forum run a series of events throughout the year providing a platform for networking, debate and information exchange covering a diverse range of topics. These events include coastal surgeries, talks, debates, Forum and public meetings and consultation discussions.
