The following are projects currently hosted by the Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum.
Pembrokeshire Marine Code
The Marine Code Group was developed by local operators and other organisations working closely with the Pembrokeshire Coast National par k Authority and the National Trust. These organisations are all concerned about the long-term management of the area and the development of high standards of practice. They recognise that sustainable use must be a key theme in marine recreational activities and education.
Most of the Pembrokeshire Coastline is privately owned, and the Marine Code encourages groups to show respect and consideration for the land owners, environment, wildlife and other users. This Marine Code group represents a commitment by all members to good practice. All those who sign up to the Marine Code agree to conform to appropriate safety legislation. South West Wales Recreation Audit
As South West Wales experiences a significant growth in activity tourism, coastal managers are faced with an increasing challenge in terms of sustainable development of the tourism and recreation industry. The South West Wales Recreation Audit (SWWRA) aims to improve the quality of recreational activity-related data in order to provide a management tool for more effective and proactive management of the tourism and recreation industry. The audit provides data on the capacity of individual activities, interaction between them, impacts on resources and subsequent management needs. For more information contact the Forum team.

The Recreation Audit is currently funded by South Wales Tourism Partnership, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, Countyside Council for Wales, Environment Agency Wales Splash Fund, Milford Haven Port Authority, Carmarthenshire County Council and Bridgend County Borough Council.
Pembrokeshire - The Haven: Maximising Maritime Assets and links to Ireland
As part of the Wales Spatial Plan process the Pembroke Havens Delivery Steering Group (PHDSG) have identified ‘Maximising our maritime assets and links to Ireland’ as one of three strategic priorities for delivery action in 2009/10.
To take this work forward, Pembrokeshire Coastal forum are working on behalf of the Group over the next 12 months to scope, coordinate and maintain an overview of existing delivery activity across the whole area against this priority; generate and facilitate ideas and proposals for new delivery activity; identify opportunities to improve or add value to delivery against this agenda, in particular through improved collaboration across the whole of the spatial plan area. For more information contact Tonia Forsyth.
